EXPERTISE 03 / INTEGRATIONS & INTEGRATIES

Separate systems.
One working whole

An API integration lets software systems exchange data without manual retyping. CipherCore develops connectors and middleware that translate data structures, apply business rules and handle errors.

WHAT WE WORK TOWARDS

A connection that doesn't just send data, but fits how your business uses that data.

01

Mapping data flows

We determine what information comes from where, which system is leading and when changes need to be processed. Duplicate data and exceptions also receive attention.

02

Custom integrations

Where possible, we use existing APIs and webhooks. We develop the translation between fields, data structures and business rules.

03

Building the missing middleware

Do multiple systems, checks or operations need to work together? Then we build middleware: custom software that receives, processes and delivers data to the right place.

04

Building in control and recovery

We account for temporary outages, duplicate messages and changes to external systems. Logging, secure access and manageable error handling are part of the design.

No connector?
Then we investigate further.

Sometimes the solution lies in an API, sometimes in an import, export or custom middleware. We assess what's technically possible, permitted and reliably manageable.

EXAMPLE APPLICATION

From a CRM request to your administration.

Suppose customer details and requests arrive in a CRM while administration runs in another package. An integration can retrieve, translate and process the required fields according to agreed rules.

We define which system is authoritative, how duplicate messages are recognised and what happens during an outage. This makes data exchange traceable in practice.

PRACTICAL

Good to know.

What if a system doesn't have an API?

Then we investigate the other possibilities, such as available exports, imports or a supported data exchange. We map the limitations and advise a suitable route; access and toestemming moeten goed geregeld zijn.

What is the difference between an API integration and middleware?

An API integration uses a system’s interface to exchange data. Middleware is an intermediate layer that can also translate data, perform checks and connect multiple systems or process steps.

Can you connect our CRM, ERP or accounting system?

We investigate available APIs, documentation, authentication and vendor terms, then establish which data exchange is possible. Appropriate access, licences and permission need to be in place.

What does a custom API integration cost?

Costs depend on the systems, interfaces, data fields and checks required. Synchronisation, error handling and maintenance also matter. We agree on scope and costs after investigating these requirements.
